Hello Charlie (and all readers),
I have been away from my favorite websites for some time and have been enjoying catching up around here today. Lots of interesting goings on, Thank You,. I must say, in particular, a DNR doing such a forecast is a great idea. This is the sort of thing that would make a very nice feature any and everywhere in North America.
All the best!

Happy to see you back N.C.L.W. The WI DNR is doing a lot of things right these days. I plan to write some posts highlighting some of the DNR’s plans and programs.
Fall turkey season opens on the 17th Vic and I can hardly wait.

Excellent Charlie,
I will be looking forward to these future posts. While I may not always comment, I do my best to visit and read your site here. Glad I’ve found it, Sir!
I’m wishing Vic and yourself all the best for Fall! In BC, Archery Fall Season for Turkey is underway, as are other seasons including Dove and Grouse (Ruffed, Franklin and Dusky are about in this area). Firearm Turkey for me, is coming up on Oct. 1. I have been out for Ruffed Grouse Lately and got two lovely birds last time, in just a few hours. If I’m fortunate I may be able to get out again tomorrow evening.

The brood count is wrong. There are more turkeys this year than I have ever seen it 14 years of hunting.
